We asked some of our drivers about their thoughts on
ORCA and here is a sample of what they had to say.
"Received my trophy and plaque today. I will have to say I am very
impressed. The trophy itself weighs roughly 10 lbs. The base is made
out of
solid black marble. The cup
itself
is made out of a brushed steel or very dense aluminum, it has that
"ding"
when you tap it with your fingernail. The plaque has a very nice wood
base
and very nice metal plates. I don't believe theres anything plastic on
either the trophy or plaque. Both came scratchless and flawless and
were
very well wrapped and secure inside the shipping box. I've gotten
trophies
before but these have by far been the nicest. Thanks!"
"There seem to be
hundreds of leagues out there, but I have not yet found another
that combines the dedication to sportsmanship, professionalism,
fun, and (most of all) realism that ORCA seems to offer."
"It
is almost as exciting as when I raced in real life myself."
"After
my graduation from Papy loop racing, it's the greatest thing since sliced
bread!"
"The
real sponsors and prize money is really cool and makes this league a much
more realistic experience compared to my other leagues."
"Its
been great, most of the guys are pretty cool and the competition just
blows me away"
"This
is one of the best leagues on the net so far"
"I
think the ORCA racing series has a great talent pool. We're on the
rise and I'm sure we'll be the top online racing league before too
long."
"The
ORCA veterans are the best drivers on the internet."

Where
does the money come from?
Each
driver will be required to pay an annual membership fee in order to
participate in the league for the season. This membership fee pays for
your ORCA license and helps pay for server expenses, web hosting expenses
and end of season payouts. This fee
can either be paid by you or a corporate sponsor and is pro-rated as the
season goes by.
So
how exactly does this all work?
ORCA mirrors the actual NASCAR schedule. This will give
you lots of good, clean competition plus a very good server to
race on. We use the
Lightning Fast Servers.
How
will the payout work you ask?
After the last race is completed, the top 5 drivers in series
points will be awarded prize money. Payouts can be found
at the bottom of a series' roster.
Corporate
Sponsorship Authorization?
Only
REAL corporate sponsors are allowed to be painted on your car. If you do
not have a real sponsor then you MUST drive a generic car, which can be
painted anyway you like, but without any sponsored logos on the hood or
side panels. You MUST have authorization to carry a sponsor on your car.
If you provide a corporate sponsor please send their contact and website
information to the ORCA Administration so we can provide them with proper
sponsorship links here on the ORCA website.

minus server expenses.
